Rev it up writing

Today we linked movement to learning our phonics, worked on use by the whole body to remember the spelling of words. We used our sentence ladder to work in writing mileage. How many sentences can write? 

 

 

Making Slime

Last Monday and Tuesday afternoon some of the learners made slime with Miss Karl and myself. They enjoyed it very much and we had a lot of descriptive words about how it felt an looked. With the second group we did 2 mixtures not using water in the 2nd bowl to see if it would be a thicker consistency. Here is the recipe we used here and 2 photo slideshows.  Sorry for some of the dyed hands. Some of them enjoyed the feeling of the slime than others. I made my own starch rather than using borax so it was a very slimy, gooey slime. I am sure the learners would love to try this at home as well.
